Our Troop is involved with many service projects which benefit our community.

Our Boy Scout Troop is a part of The Youth of St. Patrick Catholic Church who has adopted Shoreline #16 (Lawther Rd. between Chappel Hill and Kimberly Lane) at White Rock Lake. On the second Saturday of the month, we join other volunteer  For the Love of the Lake organizations to clean and help to preserve this natural oasis.

In February our troop participates in the Scouting for Food collecting donated canned food from our neighborhood and bring to a local food bank.

At least twice a year, we visit a nursing home and share a moment with our elders.

On going Service Project:

bulletWhite Rock Clean-up. 2nd Saturday of every month.

Please read the attached letter from the family of John Hochgraf, who was a scoutmaster for Troop 719 in the mid-1970's. Many of the newer parents and scouts do not know him, but there are a number of us that remember him very fondly. Please take some time to call or visit him at the Doctor’s Nursing Center.  Our troop presented the Mossyhorn plaque to Mr. Hochgraf. In this picture, he carefully inspects the plaque.
